It’s time to change the narrative.
What stories are you telling yourself?
“I’m not a writer.”
“I don't have time to write.”
“I don’t know where to start.”
“Nobody wants to read my story.”
Recognize any of these?
Doubt is the villain in this plotline — but we know the hero
wins in the end.
With creative writing coaching from us and the
Life Writers community cheering you on, you will…

From there, you’ll navigate the get-started roadmap, meet your buddy group members, participate in the monthly feedback night, consume recorded instructional videos in the library, make yourself accountable to your buddies, and receive feedback on your stories.
You can dedicate as much or as little time as you’d like to both your Life Writers Community activities and your personal writing.

- first Tuesday – First Tuesday Write and Read – This is not an exclusive Life Writers Community event, but many members enjoy this monthly activity.
- second Tuesday – meet with your Life Writers Community buddies, review your stories, get help, or just enjoy catching up. What you do with this time is up to you and your buddies.
- third Tuesday – enjoy a rotating schedule of fun activities, including Five Questions, Book Share, Share What You Know, and more.
- fourth Tuesday – attend a Q&A with Patricia Charpentier, participate in a discussion of one member’s story, and receive feedback on your story submitted a week in advance.
- fifth Tuesday – when we have a fifth Tuesday, it’s Open Mic Night where members read their stories to the group.
- every Wednesday – two hours where Life Writers Community members come together to write individually within a group.
The activities within the Life Writers Community vary week-to-week. Should you wish to participate fully, you can expect to invest an average of three to four hours per week of live meetings, video lessons, assignments, and connecting with your buddy group, in addition to the time you choose to set aside to write your personal stories. But you can pick and choose where you want to invest your time.
Whether you are crafting poems, fictional stories, or creative nonfiction, the elements of engaging text are all the same. The Life Writers Community exposes its members to devices such as dialogue, crafting scenes, characterization, and more that enhance all writing.
Ultimately, members need to be comfortable using technology, including email, basic word processing, Zoom video conferencing, navigating the Life Writers Community website, posting assignments, and commenting on the Life Writers Community website, all of which we can show you how to do.
The Life Writers Community also provides written instructions and numerous help videos that show you how to accomplish these tasks successfully.
None of these are difficult, and before long, you’ll be able to do everything you need to with your eyes closed.
If you try out the program and find the Life Writers Community is not a good fit for you, email us before the end of your first thirty days of membership, and we will refund your subscription fee. However, we know once you experience the Life Writers Community, you’ll be excited to stay and see what you can accomplish.
