Success stories from real writers ( just like you!)

In my first session of Life Writers, I wrote and learned more than I ever did before. I am building good habits of a writer. For me, Life Writers was like coming home after being lost in the desert.

Darlene Lamb

Patricia and her team helped me reach my goal of publishing my first memoir and is now continuing to support my efforts to complete my second book in Life Writers.

Becky McGregor

I’ve been promising myself that I would write my book for probably ten years or more, but it took enrolling in Patricia Charpentier’s Life Writers membership to jumpstart that process. Now, not only am I writing a memoir, but I’m also working on a novel that has been sitting around in notes, images, and in my head forever.

Terry Deer

Terry Deer

Life Writers helps me to become a more confident writer. It also helps me to stay motivated and disciplined to meet my writing goals. I haven’t seen any programs that even come close to comparing to what Patricia offers, and I have taken dozens of courses over the years.

Eve Wiley

I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Were it not for the Life Writers community you have created, it would not have been possible for me to have one of my stories published.

Etya-Kirchmar

Etya Kirchmar

Since I started Life Writers in June 2021, I have written more than forty stories that are in various stages of completion, and I have a list of many more ready for pen and paper. Life Writers has changed my life, and now, I feel confident calling myself a writer.

Once I sign up, how long is my membership?
Your membership automatically renews monthly, every four months, or annually, depending upon the option you select.

You are free to cancel your membership at any time. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details.

However, Life Writers members love the program and continue to find value, month after month. We believe you’ll want to remain a member when you see how much progress you make in Life Writers.

Can I participate for only a month at a time?
Yes, you can. You can select the monthly Life Writers option, and your membership will renew each month until you cancel.
When does Life Writers meet?
Life Writers offers live sessions via Zoom on most Tuesday evenings. Here is the current schedule:

  • first Tuesday – First Tuesday Write and Read – This is not an exclusive Life Writers event, but many members enjoy this monthly activity.
  • second Tuesday – Writers CAFE, which includes a book discussion and the exploration of writing-related topics.
  • third Tuesday – master class given by Patricia Charpentier, owner/founder of Writing Your Life and Life Writers.
  • fourth Tuesday – Writers CAFE followed by a session where members receive feedback on their stories.
  • every Wednesday – Two hours where Life Writers come together to write individually within a  group.

All sessions are recorded with replays available within forty-eight to seventy-two hours.

How much of a time commitment is Life Writers each week?
You can devote as much or as little time as you’d like to Life Writers.

The activities within Life Writers vary somewhat week-to-week. Should you wish to participate fully, you can expect to invest an average of two to three hours per week of live meetings, video lessons, assignments, and connecting with your buddy group, in addition to the time you choose to set aside to write your personal stories.

Is Life Writers a program only for writers of memoir?
Not at all. While life story, memoir, and family history are the primary focus of Writing Your Life, we also acknowledge that good writing is good writing no matter the genre.

Whether you are crafting poems, fictional stories, or creative nonfiction, the elements of engaging text are all the same. Life Writers exposes its members to devices such as dialogue, crafting scenes, characterization, and more that enhance all writing.

What is a buddy group and what is its purpose?
A buddy group is composed of two or three writers selected to support and encourage one another. You may share your writing and assignments with your buddies to receive feedback and suggestions as well as help hold one another accountable to meet your individual writing intentions. Buddy groups are a great way to cultivate friendships and stay connected while writing—an otherwise isolating endeavor.
How will the buddy groups be formed?
Soon after you register, you will answer some questions we use to pair you with other writers with similar writing goals, interests, and skill levels.
Do I need to be a tech wizard to participate?
Absolutely not.

Ultimately, members need to be comfortable using technology, including email, basic word processing, Zoom video conferencing, navigating the Life Writers website, posting assignments, and commenting on the Life Writers website, all of which we can show you how to do.

Life Writers also has written instructions and numerous help videos that show you how to successfully accomplish these tasks.

None of these are difficult, and before long, you’ll be able to do everything you need to with your eyes closed.

What if Life Writers isn’t right for me?
Life Writers is risk-free to you because it’s backed by a thirty-day, money-back guarantee.

If you try out the program, yet find Life Writers is not a good fit for you, email us before the end of your first thirty days of membership, and we will refund your subscription fee. However, we know once you experience Life Writers, you’ll be excited to stay and see what you can accomplish.

If you are past your first thirty days, you may cancel your membership renewal on your My Account page, but you will not receive a refund for the unused portion of your membership fee.

Your membership will automatically renew on the date you signed up either one, three, or twelve months later. If you wish to cancel, you must do so before that date to avoid being charged.

For more details, please refer to the Automatically Renewing Subscription section in Terms and Conditions.

Can I continue to access the program content after I cancel?
You have full access to all the content as long as you are a member.

If you cancel your membership, you lose access to all content.
