On this, the fourth Thursday of the month, we answer your writing questions.
Today’s question comes from Phyllis Pociopa, “How do I know when I’m finished?” Good question, but not an easy one to answer. Let’s see what we can figure out.
When I wrote my book, Eating an Elephant: Write Your Life One Bite at a Time, I finally had to set a launch party date and send out invitations. Pretty drastic, but it worked.
How do you declare a piece capital F finished? What is your process to get to that point?
Tell us about it in the comments section below.

Until next time, happy writing!
I agree with your professor, Patricia. Same here. I hope my book is finished once I get the manuscript from my editor for the last review and once I made some additional changes. It took me over ten years to write it. It is now time to let go.
Patricia, i followed your advice. i set a launch party and finally let it go to print. i till think that’s the best way to go.
