Episode #33 – Bite #38, Profiling

Today, we crack open Eating an Elephant: Write Your Life One Bite at a Time and look at Bite #38 – Profiling.

Profiling is the first step in gathering details you need to do justice to a person on the page, and how do we do that? With a list of course.

I use my first grade school teacher, Miss Veeder, as an example of building a profile.

Its hard to choose a character, but I like your idea of a favorite teacher to start. I might even start with a list of characters then make the sub list of their profile. These videos really help your reader expand on the ideas in the book. Love it!
