The only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all!
When a woman in my class asked me to write a saying I used on the board every week, I had no idea people found it so helpful or that it would become the Writing Your Life and Life Writers motto.
Learn more about why she and thousands who came after her find it so reassuring.
So, write as though you can’t do it wrong and see what you come up with. I bet it will be good.

What a wonderful mantra that serves as a reminder that we can all be writers. As a Life Writer member, I am finally making progress with writing my life story. Thank you, Patricia.
That’s so exciting, Rose. You are an excellent writer, and I’m glad you find our motto helpful.
Patricia, when I first joined Lifewriters and you stated that important sentence, I knew this was the right place for me to learn and grow. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and for your encouragement I so need.
Aw, I’m so glad to hear that made an impact on you, Julie. Life Writers would not be the same without you.
I can relate with the need to be reminded. I drink in those encouraging words like an elixir to cure my fears.
Yes, take a daily dose of this medicine. Sometimes, I need it hourly. I felt a lot of fear in writing the foreword for the anthology and kept putting off starting. I wanted so much to convey how proud I am of you all, and I felt like I might not be able to do it. Finally, I wrote, and I think I accomplished my goal. You guys will decide.
“Theo ly way to do it wrong, is not to do it at all!” The universe had spoken when to you when you write those words, Patricia. Thanks for being my teacher.
Yes, I agree. The universe was giving me something I had no idea how important it would ultimately. Thank you, Etya, for being such a wonderful student.
