In today’s 109th episode of the Life Writers Vlog, we focus on uncommon, personal experiences you’ve had. While we share many universal milestones—like birth, death, growth, work, and so on—some of our moments aren’t as common.
As an example of a somewhat unique experience, I once had to take lie detector tests while applying for jobs at two banks. It’s not an experience I recommend!
Today, let’s brainstorm and list some of your unique memories. Then, choose one, and write your story, and if you care to, share your piece with us in the comments section below.
Remember, you’re more unique than you think, and the only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all!

I once met in Montreal, where I live, with one of the Kennedy sisters which was invited by an art foundation in which we were both involved. From memory, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, founder of the Special Olympics. It was a short meeting at work but a memorable moment, involving a dry Martini at ten in the morning!
Any meeting involving a dry Martini at 10 am has got to be memorable! What an opportunity!
When introduced to each other, her question to me was. “Which part of our country are you from, I can’t quite identify your accent.”
I’ m actually from France and hardly ever use the English language, was my answer. She really thought I came from the States, which I took for a compliment. Or maybe it was the Martini talking! Truly a great Lady.
My husband and I and four of our friends were poisoned by carbon monoxide. I feel that I saved everyone that early morning as I woke up and knew something wasn’t right.
Glad you all made it out. Carbon Monoxide is a silent killer.
I believe My husband was kidnapped from nursing home
I’d love to read that story Janet
