February 2023 – A Memorable Meal

We do it three times every day, and usually, we don’t even remember what we ate a day later. But some meals stand out in our memory–some good, some not so good.

Today, we’re going to write about a memorable meal.

First, do a bit of brainstorming by listing memorable meals from your past, select one meal, and then write your story.

After you’ve written, post it in the comments section below so we can taste, smell, and experience your memorable meal.

Remember, the only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all!

The Imam Fainted My cousin Elaine and her husband Stu were visiting us at the lake for the weekend. Around 5, we came in from the waterfront and I started the go-to supper I always made when we had company there: m’jeddrah. It was an easy meal, not too time-consuming, delicious, and even healthy.  Vegetable broth, lentils and brown rice went into a big pot on the old two-burner electric stove in the small kitchen.
