On the second Tuesday of each month, we pick a member’s story, review it, and provide feedback to the author as a group. This is a great way to improve your writing and editing skills and learn how to give constructive feedback to your fellow members.

I also provide story notes that everyone can learn from. Oftentimes, these include common mistakes that are easy to correct and make your text much cleaner.

Our review focuses on four questions:

• What was the story about?
• What did the author do well?
• How could the author improve the story?
• Does the author or readers have any questions or comments?
