You wrote an amazing story. Now, let’s get it published.

You can email your stories to me at patricia@writingyourlife.org and upload your photographs to the Google album called Writing in the Rainforest. Once you’ve uploaded your photos to the Google album, click on the info icon and add your name/initials and some details about the image. See the example below.

Here are the deadlines to submit your stories and photos:

Event Deadline
Submit your story for editing 6/30/24
Receive first edited version 7/15/24
Submit revised story 7/22/24
Submit photos for possible inclusion in anthology 7/22/24
Receive final story version 7/29/24
Estimated publication date 9/30/24

Please don’t wait until the last minute to work on your story or your photographs. You won’t do your best work, and you will put yourself under undue pressure. So, let’s get busy and beat these deadlines.

Also, if you haven’t yet completed the Writing in the Rainforest survey, please do so right now. It will take only ten minutes or so.

Maybe I got it wrong. I thought we were all going to share photos we took from our trip to Costa Rica on the google photos link. But I see I’m the only participant who did that. After reviewing the anthology instructions, I think I was only supposed to upload images that I wanted to go in the Anthology with my story.

Should I remove my other vacation photos and only upload the images related to my story?

Do we put any photos we want to include with our anthology story, right into the document?

I need help to find my saved survey so I can finish it. How do I find that?

I appreciate the opportunity to be able to save an incomplete survey to come back to later. I guess I’m one of those people who needed advance instructions on the process. as I didn’t notice that after I clicked Save, I needed to scroll to the bottom of the page to retrieve a link . I don’t think my previous answers were saved because the requirement of entering my email and getting the link was not evident on the screen that first time. I’m still learning, but thought I would share this in case other’s needed to know.
