Micro-Memoir: The Art of Writing Short
I am excited to announce our second anthology with the working title of Micro-Memoir: The Art of Writing Short.
All paid members during 2024 are invited to submit a micro-memoir series of one to six segments, each containing 300 words or less, for publication and distribution in our April/May 2025 anthology.
As an anthology author, you will receive:
- three professional edits of your story and bio
- professional book cover and interior design
- professional proofread of your final story
- two copies of 6” x 9”, full-color anthology
- additional copies available at discounted price
- Amazon link to share with friends and family
- anthology distribution by Ingram Content Group
- anthology participants-only workshop
- launch events, including social activities and Read and Celebrate Live in Central Florida

Submission guidelines:
- one to six micro-memoir stories all related to the same topic/theme/event
- each story within the series must be 300 words or less
- short author biography, maximum 150 words
- up to three color story photos, minimum resolution, 300 DPI
- author bio headshot, minimum resolution, 300 DPI
Should you require more than three (3) story photographs, you can purchase extra space for $10 per photo for four or more images.
Submission deadlines:
To make our April/May 2025 reading and book launch, deadlines will be strictly enforced.
Here is a calendar that shows all the due dates and when you can expect to receive edits from us.
Please review your schedules to ensure you can meet the following due dates because extensions and refunds will not be granted. All deadlines expire at 11:59 p.m. on the specified date.
- January 26, 2025 – deadline to submit $395 payment to participate or apply for a scholarship
- January 31, 2025 – deadline to submit the anthology participation agreement
- January 31, 2025 – deadline to submit your headshot, story photos, one- to six-part micro-memoir series, and short bio for first round of editing
- February 14, 2025 – deadline to submit revised story and bio for second round of editing
- February 28, 2025 – deadline to submit final story and bio for anthology
