In the November 2023 First Tuesday Write and Read, I talked about Blue Mind by Wallace Nichols with a foreword by Celine Cousteau, Jacques Cousteau’s granddaughter.

The book explores our deep connection to water, how it soothes our minds, boosts creativity, and even heals.

It got me thinking about my own connection to water from the 125-mile Bayou Teche that snaked through South Louisiana near my home to my current home on Lake Fairview in Orlando. I never considered myself a water person, but I have many water-related memories.

Whether you love or despise water, let’s write a water memories.

Remember, the only way to do this wrong is to not do it at all!
