In this session, we explore what makes a story descriptive and how to evaluate our writing for effective detail and description.
Our aim is to determine if the included detail is truly optimal. As we discuss evaluating writing, let’s focus on identifying general terms and transforming them into specific ones. For instance, a “pretty flower” becomes a “blue hydrangea.”
Similarly, emotions are better conveyed through actions rather than just stating them.
