In this video, we explore moving from sight-based writing only to sense-based writing.
We all have five senses: sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste, which can significantly enrich our writing, but often, writers focus mainly on describing how something looks and neglect other senses. Incorporating our other senses makes readers experience rather than just read about the moment.
For example, describing a root beer float not only by its appearance but also through the feel of the mug, the taste of the drink, its smell, and the sound made when cold root beer is poured into a frosted mug creates a more immersive and captivating experience.
