Book Study – Pages 91-104

0%

Tonight, we discussed pages 91-104 of Solito by Javier Zamora.

Our conversation centered on the following:

Studying how an author sculpts a section of text and focuses on one moment and/or topic and the next is a great exercise. Zamora is on the boat, heading to Mexico, throughout these pages, but he features a variety of different moments/topics. Identify each moment/topic and be ready to discuss what he accomplishes in each.

We identified nine distinct sections within the text, which included sections on reality vs. desire, flashbacks, scenes, superstition, and other topics.

I created a shared document of terms and people in Solito. When you come across a new Spanish word or a person, select the correct tab at the bottom left of the sheet and enter the name/word, definition, and page where it appears.

Please do not delete any of the content currently in there. Again, here is a link to the shared spreadsheet. It can also be found in the course, Terms and People in Solito.
