Tonight’s session focused on pages 202-216 and included two longer essays published in Garden & Gun magazine, “Old Florida Found” and “Jerry Lee and Me.”
Then, we dove into our discussion question for the week:
We’re discussing only two stories this week in our book study on pages 202-216–one about a place and one about a person. On page 212, Bragg explains his work as “taking people’s memories, making something from them that is more than just a window dressing of life.” What do you think he means by that? How do you do this in your writing?
Here’s the photo of Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and Elvis mentioned in Bragg’s story.
