We have two ways to create micro-memoir.

We can deliberately write short, or we can start long and trim the text to the necessary word count.

What do you take out? What do you leave in? These are the questions every micro-memoir writer must address.

For today’s example, I use my parents’ love story written and rewritten for three separate purposes over ten years.

The challenge when trimming longer stories is always cutting text while maintaining the primary story. Not an easy task.
