The ending reminded me of my parents. They were terrible parents but they loved the grandchildren of their son and his Christian wife. The mother in the book was responding not out of her authentic self, but out of Jewish tradition in rejecting her daughter for marrying out. Both the mother and father have their hearts opened when they see the child. That often happens with interfaith marriages.
Indeed! I think this book was good choice for us. It provides examples of all those good writing practices you have described in the lessons. The epilog is one that continues to inspire me today.
Thank you, Patricia, I enjoyed this video. I appreciate your comments at the end, about finding your story.
