We finished off our Spring 2022 session with a lively discussion about our survey results. The majority of the discussion centered on the best ways to create buddy groups, and members offered many suggestions.

We also reviewed some possible topics for future master classes–inserting photos into text, compiling individual stories into a larger work, writing about the past in present tense, and how to edit/polish stories.

But hearing what members have accomplished in Life Writers made my heart sing:

• “Created a family/historical timeline.”
• “I have become more willing to call myself a writer and am starting to believe that my life matters.”
• “I went from not writing at all to creating something new every week.”
• “Celebrating our own lives in print and in friendship.”
• “I realized that I am not alone in my writing world.”
• “I made some lifelong friends.”
• “I created a regular writing practice.”

Those are great wins, and I am so proud of all of you.
