Tip #4 – Don’t Include What the Character Already Knows

0%

Onto tip #4: never include information in dialogue the character already knows.

We’re all about keeping it conversational and not turning our dialogue into an information dump. When we do that, it reeks of being written, not spoken.

Let the dialogue flow and keep it true to what the character would naturally say.
