Our job as writers is to do more than simply provide information for the reader.

Readers want more than that. They want to experience that moment as you did, feel like they are in your shoes.

Don’t disappoint them. Give those readers a moment to remember.

I never think of chipmonks as rodents. They were always welcome at our camp sites. My niece lives in Pittsburgh until recently. Is there any yard in Pittsburg that doesnt slope?

Hamsters through the years. I remember when our kids had them. Only two. They (the hamsters) would bite. They weren’t much fun after that.

Welcome to the Alambi Reserve, Hummingbirds in the Cloud Coffee.  Matt and I were in the rainforest near Mindo, Ecuador. The Alambi Reserve is a hummingbird preserve where tourists pause along a mountain highway for a delightful time to spend with hummingbirds. The canopy of the trees in the mist provides the perfect environment for these delicate birds.
