Listening to the discussion in the episode replay today…Upon Jennifer’s comment on the book, I started thinking about how sometimes a work of writing can come to us at time in our lives when we aren’t ready to feel an emotion the piece is exposing. Even if we are able to critique the words and how the words are organized on the pages, we may have an allergy to a certain topic, activity, or attitude of a character, I think it is ok to be vulnerable about that.
